About the role of Traffic Management Supervisor: The Supervisor role supports the Depot Operations Manager in running the depot efficiently, coordinating with other depots, managing stock, and overseeing resources. You will supervise Sector Scheme 12a installations, lead on Health and Safety, and ensure accurate records for plant, labour, and fleet, including O Licence and HGV documentation. You will produce key operational documents (Method Statements, Risk Assessments, TM layouts) and deliver daily briefings such as Toolbox Talks and Safety Alerts. Strong relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients are essential, along with prompt issue resolution. You will carry out site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring compliance with UKAS National Highways Sector Schemes.
What are we looking for in a Traffic Management Supervisor? A highly motivated professional with strong experience in the Traffic Management industry, you work safely, efficiently, and proactively. With the fast-paced and unpredictable nature of the sector, you remain alert and adaptable, responding confidently to changing situations. You are an effective communicator and team player, competent with PCs and Microsoft Office. Your proven leadership experience shows your ability to lead by example and uphold high standards.
What else are we looking for?
- Essential: Previous demonstrable, practical experience in the TM Industry with involvement in both 12A and 12B works.
- Proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Able to work within an ERP system (including tablet-based working crews).
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and experience of leading a team in a comparable role. Leads by example.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK unsponsored.
- Excellent communicator and team worker.
- Confidently able to deliver presentations to the workforce.
- Highly motivated.
Desirable:
- Hold a current TSCO Qualification.
- Hold 12C Supervisor Qualification.
- Hold 12D RLTMO Qualification.
- Competent in the use of TM design CAD Software (CADaptor Cone).
