The general hours of work paid are a minimum 40 hours per week, guaranteed. You must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends as shift patterns can vary week to week. Overtime paid for nights and weekends (when working away overnight allowance plus accommodation is paid)

About the role of HGV Driver
This is a full-time, hands‑on role ideal for someone with a background in construction or agriculture who enjoys variety and responsibility in their work.
Working within the highway maintenance environment, you will be part of a team installing crash barriers and concrete barriers around the motorway network.
You’ll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of plant and safety barrier materials to and from various sites. The role involves both day and night shifts, depending on workload, and requires a level of physical fitness to assist with loading and unloading.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re after someone who not only holds an HGV class 2 licence but also brings a positive, can‑do attitude to the job. Here’s what makes a great candidate:
Must-Haves:
- Valid Class 1 licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK, unsponsored
- Digi card and full Driver CPC
- 2–5 years’ HGV driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Experience transporting plant or machinery
- Skilled in using ratchet straps
- CSCS Health and Safety card
- Punctual, with strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work shift patterns – days, nights and weekends (on occasions need to work away)
- Grab and Hiab experience
