General hours of work are 37.5 hours per week guaranteed; hours and shifts include days, evenings, nights and weekends with the option of overtime as required. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota.
As a Trainee Traffic Management Operative, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow on highways and construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and maintaining traffic management systems.
- Safely directing traffic during roadworks, events, and emergencies.
- Collaborating with colleagues and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Upholding our people-first culture and contributing to our fresh cultural change programme.
Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Own transport.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns of 12 on, 2 off (every other weekend off).
- Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 points and held for more than 10 months.
- Within 1-hour driving distance from the depot.
- Valid traffic management qualifications (e.g., Lantra 12D M1/M2 or Unit 2 – desirable but not essential).
