About the role of Group Quality and Assurance Manager
You will play a key role supporting the business leadership to create, implement and maintain an effective Quality Management system and compliance framework across the Ramudden Global UK businesses. You will ensure the business operates in accordance with all legal and compliance obligations, whilst delivering additional value across the group through business improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining, managing and developing the Group's Integrated Management System, including policies, processes, training, monitoring and reporting.
- Implementing Quality Management Systems on contracts, including programmes and ITPs aligned with customer requirements.
- Maintaining accurate quality records for services and products.
- Delivering value-added audits to ISO9001 and National Highways Sector Schemes across sites and offices.
- Leading and supporting customer and certification audits, managing non-conformances and reporting status to management.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and relevant Sector Schemes, attending customer quality meetings and driving preventative actions.
- Providing performance feedback, quality reporting and support continuous improvement through analysis of trends, risks and issues.
- Delivering training and toolbox talks to raise quality awareness and promote a positive quality culture.
Essential Attributes for a Group Quality and Improvement Advisor:
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK unsponsored
- Lead Auditor for ISO9001 Quality Management
- Membership of relevant professional body, e.g., CQI
- Flexible to travel as and when required
- Proficient in the use of a PC and the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365 apps etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferable Attributes for a Group Quality and Improvement Advisor:
- Chartered CQI Member preferable
- Knowledge of cement, aggregates, concrete and steel
- Experience of development and implementation of Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans within Major Civil Engineering / Highways projects.
