Location - Hybrid. All applicants must be able to commute 3 – 4 days per week to our Belfast office in Northern Ireland BT8 6SA.
Hours - Mon‑Thu 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm.

About the role of Accounts Assistant:
The Accounts Assistant will take responsibility for managing the weekly and bi‑weekly payroll cycles and will work alongside another Accounts Assistant on the Purchase Ledger to ensure accurate and timely data entry into NetSuite. They will also demonstrate a proactive attitude toward developing their skills and progressing within the finance team. Previous Payroll and Purchase Ledger experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the weekly and bi‑weekly payroll processes, including gathering information, processing on Sage Payroll software, journals and employee payments.
- Assist with Purchase Ledger invoice entries, payments and supplier communications.
- Provide cover for month‑end supplier reconciliations and month‑end payments.
- Occasional office admin duties.
- Ad‑hoc tasks as required.
What good looks like for an Accounts Assistant:
- Purchase Ledger experience incl. experience in accounting software.
- General knowledge of journal entries and nominal codes.
- Attention to detail and the ability to organise workload to meet deadlines.
- Accounts Payable/Payroll experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proactive in their work and a self‑starter.
- Team player mentality is essential.
- Right to work in the UK unsponsored.
- Must have their own transport.
- Within good travel distance to the office.
