As a Calibration technician, you will be responsible for performing calibration inspections and measurements, providing technical guidance and specifications to trainees, and maintaining accurate, auditable calibration records. You will ensure all data is recorded and managed in accordance with established procedures using calibration management systems.
Job Accountabilities:
- Calibration of mechanical measuring equipment, including micrometers, callipers, torque wrenches and crimp tools.
- Calibration of electrical equipment, including multimeters, insulation testers and LCR meters.
- Calibration of specialist products, where appropriate to the individual.
- Repair and fault-finding to component level.
- Maintaining the serviceability of all tools and test equipment used for calibration.
- Maintaining the calibration database, filing system, calibration certification and associated files.
- Providing on-the-job training and mentoring at all levels, as required.
- Assisting in the development and improvement of inspection and calibration procedures.
- Participating in internal and external audits, as required.
- Ensuring that all mandatory and legislative quality, health, safety and environmental requirements are implemented at all times.
