The role
As a Continuing Airworthiness Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of continuing airworthiness services across our clients fleet. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of aircraft, supporting critical aviation operations while developing your technical expertise and growing your influence within a collaborative engineering environment.
Day-to-day, You Will:
- Develop Approved Maintenance Programmes by reviewing Type Certificate Holder and regulatory instructions such as Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
- Create and schedule maintenance programme tasks within the Maintenance Information System (RAMCO).
- Support the Maintenance Review Board through data analysis and performance insights.
- Manage technical enquiries including repair scheme requests and continuing airworthiness clarifications.
- Ensure Mass and Balance reports reflect aircraft configuration accurately.
This role is full‑time working 40 hours per week and is based on site, working Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00, with occasional travel to other UK locations as required.
Essential Experience Of The Continuing Airworthiness Engineer:
- Experience working within a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in a Commercial Air Transport environment.
- Background suitable to be nominated for an Airworthiness Review position (SRG 1769/AD458).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel reporting.
- Experience engaging stakeholders and presenting to senior managers.
- Team leadership experience (from any setting).
Qualifications For The Continuing Airworthiness Engineer:
- Aircraft engineering experience with systems knowledge, maintenance processes and standards (helicopter experience desirable).
- Current detailed knowledge of CAA Part CAMO, Part M, Part 145 and BCAR regulations.
- Formal management, supervisory or business administration training (desirable).
- Considerable relevant experience within the Aeronautical industry, or equivalent combination of Aeronautical degree and experience within Part CAMO.
- Part 66 qualification with considerable Certifying Staff experience — ideally EC135 & BK117 — plus Part 145 line and base maintenance experience.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
