Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Marine Fuels Marketer through June 30th at 11:59 PM. As a Marine Fuels Marketer, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial sales and marketing of marine fuels to international shipping customers. This customer‐facing role is embedded within Chevron's Global Supply & Trading organization and is essential to the success of its marine fuels business.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with international shipping clients and trading partners.
- Executing spot and term sales of marine fuels, maximising commercial value.
- Supporting biodiesel and renewable diesel origination efforts, including supplier engagement and market development.
- Providing trade support to Renewable Products Trading, coordinating across scheduling, operations, and risk functions.
- Monitoring market trends, supply‐demand dynamics, and competitor activity across marine fuels and renewable products to inform pricing and strategy.
- Representing Chevron externally in commercial negotiations and industry forums.
- Collaborating cross‐functionally with internal teams to align on logistics, credit, risk, compliance, and renewable product integration.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marine fuels, trading, renewable fuels, or related commercial roles.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of marine fuel markets and/or renewable fuels markets, including regulatory and compliance requirements (EU ETS, FuelEU, RED III, IMO).
- Excellent negotiation and decision‐making skills.
- Effective communication skills across organisational levels and cultures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Engineering, or related field).
- Team player with ability to work in a fast‐paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Entrepreneurial and digital mindset.
- Familiarity with biodiesel and renewable diesel supply chains, feedstocks, and trading dynamics.
