We are seeking an experienced new entrant teacher to lead learning for our newest tamariki, supporting smooth transitions into school and building strong foundations for lifelong learning.
Responsibilities:- Have proven new entrant teaching experience.
- Be BSLA trained, with strong structured literacy knowledge and practice.
- Be knowledgeable in Maths No Problem and effective structured numeracy practice.
- Understand school transitions and be able to demonstrate how they have developed strong relationships with local early learning providers in their current context.
- Create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, settled, and successful.
- Use data thoughtfully to differentiate, adapt programmes, and support targeted acceleration.
- Build excellent relationships with whānau and communicate with clarity, warmth, and professionalism.
- Bring energy, humour, and heart, while holding high expectations for learning and wellbeing.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold NZ teacher registration and a current practising certificate.
