We are seeking an experienced new entrant teacher to lead learning for our newest tamariki, supporting smooth transitions into school and building strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Have proven new entrant teaching experience.
  • Be BSLA trained, with strong structured literacy knowledge and practice.
  • Be knowledgeable in Maths No Problem and effective structured numeracy practice.
  • Understand school transitions and be able to demonstrate how they have developed strong relationships with local early learning providers in their current context.
  • Create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, settled, and successful.
  • Use data thoughtfully to differentiate, adapt programmes, and support targeted acceleration.
  • Build excellent relationships with whānau and communicate with clarity, warmth, and professionalism.
  • Bring energy, humour, and heart, while holding high expectations for learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold NZ teacher registration and a current practising certificate.
