Cheval Collection is seeking an exceptional General Counsel to join our leadership team and lead all legal, compliance, and governance matters across our fast‑growing organisation. This is a rare opportunity to shape strategy at the highest level within a luxury hospitality group, while also providing legal guidance to our real estate division and partner business, APML Estate.

Cheval Collection manages and operates luxury serviced accommodation assets for partners both locally and internationally. As a key member of the C‑Suite, you will act as the principal legal advisor to the Managing Director and senior leadership, guiding complex commercial, corporate, and property matters. You will oversee legal strategy, major transactions, governance frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

What you’ll lead:

  • Legal strategy, governance, and compliance (including GDPR)
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial, real estate, and management agreements
  • Real estate acquisitions, disposals, development projects, and due diligence
  • Disputes, litigation, and external counsel relationships
  • Board support, including meeting participation and documentation
  • Cross‑functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, IT, People & Culture, and Development

What you’ll bring:

  • In-house experience within real estate, hospitality, or property investment
  • Qualified solicitor/barrister (England & Wales or equivalent)
  • 5+ years PQE, ideally with both private practice and in‑house experience
  • Proven experience advising senior executives and Boards
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
