At Cheval Collection, we believe that true luxury is built on excellence—and behind every impeccably maintained residence is a team of dedicated professionals who make it all possible. We are currently seeking a Chief Engineer to join our management team and take the lead at two of our prestigious London properties: Cheval Knightsbridge and Cheval Phoenix House.

We’re looking for a dynamic individual who blends technical expertise with confident leadership. You’ll bring a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, hands‑on experience with building management systems, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. If you’ve worked across multiple sites and understand the pace and precision required in luxury hospitality, you’ll thrive in this role.

As Chief Engineer, you’ll be responsible for both strategic planning and hands‑on delivery of all engineering operations across 82 luxury accommodations, across 12 buildings, including mews houses, apartments, townhouses, and city cottages throughout Knightsbridge. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of engineering, from planned preventative maintenance schedules to full compliance with health and safety regulations.

You’ll lead a skilled team of eight engineers across both residences and collaborate closely with department heads, suppliers, and contractors to ensure our properties remain in peak condition and our standards of excellence are consistently upheld. At Cheval Collection, you’ll be part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and the people who make it all happen.

If you’re ready to take your career to the next level in a role that blends strategy, leadership, and hands‑on impact—this could be your next move.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Management experience in a 5-star or luxury hospitality environment
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high‑performing maintenance team
  • Strong project planning and organisational skills
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical services
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and water management processes
  • Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Confident communication skills across all levels
  • A sense of pride in your work and attention to detail
  • A consistently positive and proactive attitude

In return we can offer you:

  • Company Performance Recognition Scheme
  • 30 days annual leave (increasing with service, including public holidays)
  • Life Assurance
