As the Head of Wholesale Analytics you will own the creation, delivery and maintenance of the wholesale divisions analytical requirements. You will model the banks warehouse and structured finance positions, supporting the determination of advance rates. You will own 1st line stress testing of existing and prospective wholesale positions, as well as maintaining responsibility for the regression of performance data. You will support the Chief Investment Officer and wholesale divisional heads, as well as working closely with treasury, finance and risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analysis of potential forward flow lines, senior warehouse lines and whole loan purchases across various ABS loan types (mortgage, consumer, auto, credit card, equipment, corporate).
- Provide cash flow modelling support to wholesale division heads, and aid in the structuring of warehouse transactions.
- Actively take part in commercial negotiations of pool acquisitions, forward flow and senior warehouse lines.
- Help develop and maintain financial models to evaluate ROE across the inorganic portfolio, bond and asset acquisitions.
- Support wider finance projects, including capital planning and securitisation.
- Assist in preparing materials and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (mortgages, capital markets and structured finance preferred).
- Strong interest in structured finance of ABS or credit risk.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, ability to analyse large data sets.
- Numerate Degree e.g. bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Physics or related fields.
- Experience in cash flow modelling assets on a bank ROE basis.
- A good understanding of mortgage economics.
- Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately under pressure, often to very tight timescales.
- A can-do attitude, a willingness to learn and to get involved.
