We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Planning Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is ideal for someone with emerging experience in financial planning—especially within mortgages—who is eager to develop their analytical capabilities and grow within a dynamic, fast‐paced environment. You will play a key support role in delivering accurate financial forecasts, analysis, and reports that inform critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and performance reports
  • Assist with the maintenance, development, and execution of financial planning models, and perform scenario sensitivity analysis using Anaplan
  • Analyse asset portfolio performance and other key retail banking metrics to provide actionable insights
  • Prepare variance analyses comparing actual results against forecasts and budgets
  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualisations for senior management
  • Maintain and update key financial datasets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Collaborate with cross‐functional teams including Treasury, Risk, Product and Change
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and data quality
  • Perform ad‐hoc analysis to support business initiatives and strategic decision‐making

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Required Experience:

  • A relevant degree discipline such as Finance and Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Risk or Business
  • Experience working with (or strong interest in learning) Anaplan or other financial planning software
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills; with high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proactive and keen to learn about specialist banking and Commercial Finance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Financial services, particularly in banking, lending, or mortgage markets
  • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), or desire to study towards a qualification
