Cloud and Dev Ex Platform Manager - Manchester

Salary: 93,350 / year As a Cloud and Dev Ex Platform Manager, you will define and lead the delivery of the Banks shared cloud platform and developer experience strategy.

You will own the platform vision, ensuring alignment with both business and technology objectives, while enabling engineering teams through scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud capabilities.

Acting as the service owner for the Cloud Platform, you will drive delivery, governance, operational excellence and continuous improvement across the platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the cloud platform and developer experience strategy, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives and delivery against key organisational outcomes.
  • Lead the end-to-end ownership of Cloud Platform services, including engineering delivery oversight, governance and operational accountability.
  • Translate strategic requirements into clear technical and platform capabilities.
  • Drive cloud governance, documentation standards, and risk management practices to ensure transparency, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee Fin Ops and performance metrics to ensure cost transparency, efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, governance forums and external partners to deliver platform strategy, manage risk and track progress against objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree/Advanced degree and/or the equivalent combination of experience.
  • Experience with implementation and management of complex Cloud environments and associate developer experience tooling.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing high profile Cloud Platform initiatives and projects.
  • Experience of cloud Fin Ops practices, driving cost transparency, collaboration and data-driven Technology decisions
  • Experience with Project and Product management principles and toolsets.
