This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse or Allied Health Professional (AHP) to work within a skilled multidisciplinary team across a growing neurodevelopmental service with a strong commitment to developing innovative approaches.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist autism assessments and support diagnostic decisions
- Create high‑quality clinical reports
- Build effective relationships with adults navigating neurodevelopmental pathways

- Contribute to service development and quality improvement

Qualifications – Essential
- Relevant professional qualification, e.g. nursing or other allied to medicine
- Dip SW or relevant mental health profession

- Experience of mentoring/supporting learners or ability to demonstrate the skills required for effective mentoring
- Practice Educator/Practice Assessor Preparation Certificate or ability to demonstrate the skills required for effective mentoring
Training – Essential
- Relevant post qualification training in identified portfolio
- Training in the use and/or interpretation of standardised assessment tools for AUTISM such as ADI‑R, ADOS, DISCO
Experience – Essential
- Substantial post qualification experience working with adults with ASD and their carers in an NHS setting
- Extensive experience in identified portfolio
- Knowledge and experience of working with Equality and Diversity
- Multidisciplinary team working
- Inter‑agency liaison and consultation
- Experience of providing highly specialist advice and/or supervision to other professionals
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in safeguarding and working with adults who have neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions
- Evidence of advanced clinical/therapeutic knowledge and skills in neurodevelopmental conditions and mental health
- Extensive experience in assessment and risk management and ability to implement evidence‑based practice
- Advanced experience of safeguarding children and/or adults
