Overview
Trust Grade Doctor role at Cheswold Park Hospital. Location: Horizon ATU, Fieldhead Hospital, WF1 3SP. Fixed term for 12 months, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week. (part time may be considered).
South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Trust Grade Doctor to join the Horizon Assessment and Treatment Unit (ATU) based at Horizon ATU, Fieldhead Hospital, WF1 3SP. This role plays a vital part in ensuring patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Horizon ATU.
Responsibilities
As a Trust Grade Doctor, you will work within the Horizon ATU to provide medical care as part of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to patients in a timely and compassionate manner. Main duties of the job (as per advert): you will be part of a team dedicated to patient care within the Horizon ATU and contribute to the trust\βs objectives.
Qualifications
Essential
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification from an institution listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools*
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Clinical Training within the NHS at resident doctor level
Desirable
- Experience of working in other medical specialties (e.g., general medicine, geriatric medicine, Accident and Emergency/Casualty)
- Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit and service improvement (awards, prizes, presentations and publications)
- Courses in Psychiatry
Experience
- Good clinical skills and understanding of the bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
- Excellent knowledge in specialty, decisive with evidence and teamwork
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Genuine interest in pursuing psychiatry as a career
Transport
- Able to work across the Service bases
- Holds and will use a valid UK driving licence or ability to travel
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development
- Participate in the Mandatory Training requirements of the Trust
- Commitment to annual Appraisal and Revalidation
