Salary: £119,490 to £145,478 a year (point 04 of the consultant pay scale, Hospital medical and dental staff, Grade Consultant).

Main Duties of the Job
- Deliver high quality care to patients as part of the Community Mental Health Team (Enhanced Pathway).
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, manage and support patients with working-age adult mental health needs.
- Provide clinical leadership, training and support to team members.
- Engage with families, carers and wider agencies, ensuring a person-centred approach.
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement and service evaluation programmes.
- Maintain accurate electronic patient records and comply with MHA and MCA requirements.
Person Specification
Eligibility (Essential)
- Fully registered with the GMC and hold a licence to practise (or have checked GMC eligibility and commenced the application process at the time of NHS jobs application).
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register for general adult psychiatry or within six months of gaining CCT.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
- In good standing with the GMC with respect to warnings and conditions on practice.
Experience (Essential)
- Excellent knowledge in the specialty of adult psychiatry.
- Strong clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective with broad medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
- Decision making based on evidence and experience, incorporating input from others.
- Capability to meet duties under the MHA and MCA.
- Ability to provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team and liaise with a variety of agencies.
