We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across our schools, helping to shape the educational experience of our wonderful pupils. Your opportunity: Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, both individually and in small groups, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment. Experience working with pupils with SEND would be highly beneficial, but full support and training will be available for the right candidate.

What we are looking for:

  • Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and a HLTA qualification (or working towards).
  • Have experience delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning.
  • Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils’ emotional and academic development.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.
  • Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.

The Details: Start Date: 1st September 2026. Salary: Specialist Point 1 - £27,061 + Outer London Weighting Allowance. Actual Salary: £21,017.04 + Outer London Weighting Allowance. Hours: 32.5hrs per week. Monday to Friday 8:30 – 3:30pm 30 mins unpaid break. Closing Date: 12th May. Interview Date: 20th May.
