We\’re growing fast – with more than 20 businesses and ambitious plans for the next three years – and we\’re looking for a creative, confident PR and Event Manager to join us on a maternity cover contract. You\’ll help us tell our story, connect with audiences, and bring our brand to life across PR, events, and partnerships.

The Role

As our PR and Event Manager, you\’ll play a key role in growing the Chestnut brand and reputation. Working closely with our Marketing Manager, PR agency, and wider marketing team, you\’ll lead the planning and delivery of standout PR campaigns and brand events that showcase who we are and what we do.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that will suit someone who loves variety – from managing media relationships to hosting events and supporting our pubs and Big Houses with their local activity.

What You\’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver our PR strategy across national, regional, and local media
  • Work with our PR agency to plan and deliver stories that build awareness and brand love
  • Build strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry partners
  • Create press kits, media releases, and storytelling content that captures our tone of voice
  • Plan and execute brand events – from press launches to local experiences – managing budgets, guest lists, and ROI
  • Support our properties and commercial teams with event planning and best practice
  • Collaborate across marketing, F&B, and operations to align activity and messaging
  • Monitor, measure, and report on PR and event performance
  • Represent Chestnut at industry events and networking opportunities

About You

You’ll be a natural storyteller who\’s confident, organised, and thrives on collaboration. You\’re curious about food, hospitality, and community – and you love turning ideas into experiences that make people talk.

You’ll Bring

  • A solid grounding in PR and marketing (through experience or education)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong digital and social media understanding
  • A creative eye and the ability to work with tools like Canva
  • Great organisational skills and an ability to juggle multiple projects
  • A passion for hospitality, people, and place

Event experience and knowledge of the hospitality industry are a bonus but not essential.
