The Opportunity
We're looking for a Sales Manager to join our Central Sales Team, driving revenue growth across accommodation, dining, events and guest experiences throughout the Chestnut collection. This is a commercially focused role centred around conversion, relationship management and revenue generation. You'll be responsible for managing larger enquiries, group bookings, venue hires and events, whilst supporting the wider sales function to maximise every revenue opportunity across the business. Working closely with operational teams, General Managers and senior stakeholders, you'll help deliver exceptional guest experiences whilst driving sales performance across the portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially minded and passionate about hospitality, with the ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and convert enquiries into revenue.
What You'll Be Doing
- Sales & Revenue Growth
- Maximising revenue opportunities across accommodation, dining, events and experiences
- Managing and converting larger enquiries including venue hire, exclusive use and group accommodation bookings
- Driving proactive upselling opportunities across bedrooms, experiences, packages and events
- Managing guest and corporate enquiries professionally across phone, email and booking platforms
- Conducting property tours for corporate and leisure guests where appropriate
- Working towards agreed sales, conversion and revenue targets
- Identifying and executing new sales opportunities to grow revenue across the business
- Building strong guest relationships and supporting loyalty platform engagement
- Reservations & Operations
- Ensuring all reservations and event details are accurately recorded within booking systems
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Supporting General Managers and Operations Managers with guest and system-related queries
- Ensuring all payments and deposits are collected in line with company policy
- Maintaining excellent knowledge of Chestnut properties, pricing, promotions and local experiences
- Team & Culture
- Acting as a brand ambassador for Chestnut at all times
- Supporting a collaborative and positive sales culture across the business
- Leading by example through professionalism, energy and strong communication
- Supporting the wider team with initiatives, events and commercial opportunities

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within hospitality sales, reservations, events or revenue-focused roles
- Proven ability to convert enquiries into revenue opportunities
- Strong commercial awareness with a proactive sales approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Experience using hospitality booking systems, CRM platforms or event management systems would be advantageous
