About Us
Chestnut Building Centres are a family owned independent Builders Merchant supplying a wide range of quality products at competitive prices to both trade and the public. We are looking for a proactive and experienced HGV Driver to deliver general building, roofing and timber materials in and around the North West.
Role Responsibilities For The HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver:
- Ensure safe delivery of general building, roofing and timber materials from our Liverpool Branch to customers in and around the North West
- Ensure company vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
- Promptly report any identified defects to the Transport Manager
- Maintain a polite and courteous manner when dealing with customers
- Unload delivery vehicles when required
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and safety within the working environment
- Ensure paperwork is accurate and signatures are obtained when required
- Undertake any reasonable task from time to time at the Branch Manager's request as may be deemed appropriate within the scope of the post
Requirements For The HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver:
- An experienced HGV Class 2 Driver
- Current CPC card
- Hiab experience is preferred (training available)
- A flexible 'can-do' attitude
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Able to work effectively in a team or alone under own initiative
- A good communicator
