With two exceptional 18 hole downland golf courses in the beautiful surroundings of the Epsom Downs, Woodcote Park offers members and their guests the perfect golfing experience.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring PGA-accredited Director of Golf to lead, elevate, and shape the future of our golf operation at Woodcote Park. This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering a high-quality, financially successful golf experience aligned with the Club’s exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall golf operation, including courses, pro shop, simulator, and events
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring strong financial performance
  • Drive revenue through innovative programming, marketing, and corporate golf days
  • Represent the Club at industry, regional, and national level
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team
  • Work collaboratively with other departments across the Club
  • Engage with members to enhance satisfaction and grow participation
  • Maintain exceptional standards in service, course condition, and member experience ensuring service delivery is in line with LQA and 59 Club standards
  • Attend and participate in Club events, such as Captain and Pro Challenge matches, New Member evenings, Q & A meetings, and all appropriate Committee and Management representation
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational policies
  • Promote and embed the Clubs EGS strategy within the team to drive engagement and achieve sustainability goals

About You

  • You are a strategic and hands‑on leader with a passion for delivering excellence in golf operations.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in golf management
  • Proven experience managing a golf facility within a private members’ club
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience of budget responsibility
  • Able to work at both strategic and tactical levels with an innovative approach
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Solid understanding of greenkeeping practices
  • Playing handicap of 18 or below
