Legacy Golf Advisors continue their partnership with Porters Park GC as we look to search for a new Clubhouse & Hospitality Manager, to help lead the day‑to‑day operation of the clubhouse and hospitality operations. Founded in 1899, Porters Park is a classic parkland course that is picturesque, inspiring, challenging, and usually playable throughout the year. We are very proud of our course as a true test of golf and Porters Park is one of Hertfordshire’s most prestigious Private Members Golf Clubs.

The Role: This is a key operational leadership role focused on delivering high standards of hospitality, driving food & beverage and event revenue growth, enhancing member and guest experience, and overseeing the effective operation and presentation of the clubhouse facilities. Working closely with the General Manager, the successful candidate will play a central role in the continued development of the Club’s hospitality offering, helping maximise the opportunities presented by the upcoming £0.5m clubhouse refurbishment project and wider investment into the member experience. The role requires a hands‑on leader who can balance operational delivery, people management, sales growth, and facilities oversight within a modern private members’ club environment.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience within hospitality, clubhouse, hotel, leisure, or private members’ club operations.
  • Strong food & beverage operational background.
  • Experience managing front‑of‑house teams and service standards.
  • Experience in driving event sales, hospitality revenue, or commercial activity.
  • Strong leadership and people management capability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Commercially aware and operationally focused.
  • Flexible approach to evenings, weekends, and event operations.
  • Strong IT and administrative capability.
  • Experience within a golf club or private members’ club environment.
  • Experience coordinating functions, golf days, or member events.
  • Understanding of clubhouse facilities management and contractor coordination.
  • Knowledge of hospitality‑related compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with club management systems such as Intelligent Golf.
