Location: Coulman Road, Thorne, Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £22.00 per hour

Hours: Rotating Shifts Monday to Friday (Shifts usually from 5am, 9 hours with an hour paid for lunch. Rotating shift with 2pm until 9 hours for the back shift. One week of earlies rotating with one week of lates)

The Engineer is responsible for delivering effective engineering repair, maintenance, and reliability activities across the site. Working as part of the engineering team, the role ensures machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently through reactive, corrective, and planned preventative maintenance. The Engineer supports operational performance, contributes to continuous improvement, and maintains high standards of safety, communication, and housekeeping.

Duties:

  • Engineering Maintenance & Repairs
  • Carry out engineering repairs, corrective maintenance, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.
  • Complete tasks generated from audits, work requests, and PPM follow-ups.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment meet site standards, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Workload & Shift Management
  • Manage personal workload and complete scheduled tasks to required standards.
  • Ensure effective handover of outstanding work between shifts.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping across all engineering work areas.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Apply Health & Safety and Food Safety standards to all work undertaken.
