A new and exciting career development opportunity has arisen for a passionate individual to join our Engineering Team. This new role involves providing technical support in Fabrication and welding workshops/classrooms and maintaining safe learning environments, with the option of providing coaching and learning through the delivery of classes to practice and master skills and the development of students' understanding through the delivery of broadly differentiated learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in Fabrication and welding workshops and classrooms.
  • Maintain safe learning environments.
  • Optionally deliver classes to coach and assess learning, helping students practice and master skills and develop understanding through differentiated learning.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering related Level 2 welding or fabrication qualification.
  • Level 3 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • Professional experience in a relevant sector, with ideally experience delivering practical skills, stock taking, and managing physical resources.
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational, administrative, ICT and time management skills, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and challenge in a supportive manner.

The successful candidate will have professional experience in a relevant sector and, ideally, experience delivering practical skills, experience in stock taking and managing physical resources. This role requires high quality written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational, administrative, ICT and time management skills, together with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and challenge in a supportive manner. The offer of employment will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
