Role Overview
This new position provides an exciting opportunity to develop a broad range of people‑management skills, covering employee relations, pay and benefits, recruitment, and employee wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day management and development of the People & Culture Team.
- Work closely with key stakeholders such as Payroll, Finance, Quality, Workforce Development, local trade union representatives, and wider college management on a variety of people issues.
- Produce HR‑related data and KPIs to support decision‑making.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience producing HR data and KPIs.
- HR management experience, ideally within Further Education.

- 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
- 41 days paid holiday per year (increasing to 46 days after 5 years).
