Chesterfield College is recruiting a new Hospitality Lecturer to join our Hospitality and Professional Cookery department. The department is based at Infirmary Road, with additional opportunities at community projects and commercial events. Most working hours are during the daytime; however, the training restaurant opens on Thursday evenings, and occasional evening work may be required to support events and learner experiences.
The successful candidate will work with learners from Entry Level 3 through to Level 3 programmes and may also take on the role of personal tutor.
Responsibilities- Support the delivery of high‑quality front of house training.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide the best possible experience for students.
- Assist learners in developing confidence, skills, and professionalism needed for the industry.
- Recent experience working within the hospitality industry.
- Experience supporting, training, coaching, or mentoring others.
- Vocational competence in front of house service, barista skills, and mixology.
- A positive, inclusive, and learner‑focused approach.
- 18.5 hours per week / 52 weeks per year.
- 51 days pro rata paid holiday per year.
