The Chesterfield College Group are looking to recruit Variable Hours Invigilators to work in Chesterfield, Derby and at local businesses to support with Examination operations. Due to the high demand of exams during May and June it is essential that you are available for these months.
Although the majority of our exams and assessments take part on our Chesterfield campus, please as part of your application form can you indicate the geographical areas you wish to be considered for.
We require hourly paid Invigilators to carry out invigilation mostly within our Chesterfield College campus, occasionally in our Derby campus, and also in some workplace settings. The role requires you to provide a professional examination service, protecting the integrity of the exam and ensuring a calm environment to give candidates the best possible opportunity to be successful in their exams.
You will be required to support both paper based and online examination processes and it is preferable that you are willing to travel to a variety of locations (with expenses being reimbursed). You must follow the required guidelines/regulations for the integrity and security of examinations and procedures during invigilation.
To succeed in this role you will need experience of a customer facing role, ideally from an examination environment. You will need strong communication and customer service skills, an ability to sometimes deal with difficult situations and be able to work under pressure. You must have initiative, strong attention to detail and first class administrative skills.
The successful candidates will have achieved GCSE Maths and English Grade A*-C / 9-4.
