We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking leader to join Chesterfield Borough Council as our new Head of Housing Property Services - a pivotal role in shaping the quality of homes and services we provide to over 8,800 tenants and leaseholders across the borough.
As a senior leader, you will be accountable for the strategic direction, operational delivery, and continuous improvement of key housing services including:
- Responsive repairs and voids
- Capital investment programmes
- Mechanical and electrical compliance
- Health and safety across the housing stock
- Fleet services, in-house stores, and the Stonegravels depot
This high-impact role comes with responsibility for managing a revenue budget of over £10 million and a capital investment programme of around £8 million annually. You will directly manage four service managers and lead a workforce of approximately 190 full-time equivalent employees, including in-house trades teams.
