Part‑time Auditor to conduct internal audits of activities, financial records and systems primarily across Bolsover Council, with occasional work at Chesterfield Borough Council and North East Derbyshire District Council. The role is based at The Arc, Clowne.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out internal audits of activities, financial records and systems across Council organisations.
  • Test, investigate, and assess risk, governance and control arrangements.
  • Prepare accurate and concise audit reports.
  • Work to deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Communicate findings assertively to a wide range of stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate assertively.
  • Experience in audit, finance or similar environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
