Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking an operations manager to join our cultural venues team to launch our new theatre and museum venue, 1435. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing the operation of some of the towns most valued public buildings, including 1435 and the Winding Wheel Theatre.
The successful candidate should have extensive knowledge and experience of Facilities Management, including building management and maintenance. You should also be knowledgeable of health and safety, and operating multi-site venues with different functionalities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that the building management and the technical delivery of all events at the cultural venues is carried out to an excellent standard.
- Ensuring that all venues comply with all health and safety requirements.
- Developing and introducing the operational procedures for the re-opening and operation of 1435.
- Leading the theatre technical team and caretaking team.
