Responsibilities
The Sports and Leisure team at Chesterfield Borough Council are looking to recruit friendly, outgoing people to work as receptionists in both its sports centres to meet the needs of customers and assist them when attending for their activities. Candidates will be responsible for welcoming visitors to its busy, modern leisure facilities so must have experience of dealing with the public face to face and over the telephone in a pleasant and courteous manner, particularly when under pressure. An understanding of excellent customer care is needed and the relevance of it to the service that is supplied at the sports centres. We are interested in applications that can evidence ability to work in busy environments and deal with a variety of enquiries from customers. It is essential that candidates can work with various computer software packages and adapt to others.
Qualifications
Candidates must be prepared and able to work unsocial and additional hours to cover for other staff absence, particularly at weekends, and be able to work at short notice if necessary.
Available Postings
One post at 10 hours per week at Queens Park Sports Centre which may include evenings and weekend working.
Two posts at 17 hours and 30 minutes per week at The Healthy Living Centre on a rota basis working mornings and afternoons.
Three variable/casual positions across both sites working as and when required, covering absence of other reception staff.
