Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the day-to-day operation of our car parks, including cash collection from all sites and cash handling and permit sales.
  • Cleaning of sites.
  • Basic maintenance to machinery.
  • Health and safety inspections on sites.
  • Pro-active and hands on site management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all customers.

Please note this is not a parking enforcement role.

Be physically fit and able to carry reasonably heavy loads over short distances.

A full, clean driving licence is required for this role.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess the necessary right to work authorisation to enable them to work for Chesterfield Borough Council. Regrettably, sponsorship or an employment visa cannot be provided.
  • Flexible approach to work as the role is variable over 7 days and the ability to cover additional days for leave, sickness and training is required.
  • Hours are 15 over 2 days each week (within the Town Centre Operations service).
