The Reserve is a new and exciting luxury lodge resort set in the grounds of Chester Zoo. As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you will be a key part of delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Whether serving breakfast with a smile, supporting busy dinner service, or delivering room service to the highest standard, you’ll ensure every interaction reflects the warmth, attention to detail, and excellence that define The Reserve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of the preparation and service of all products within the food and beverage department.
  • Ensure your department is laid and prepared in line with the service standards.
  • Keep all food and beverage areas clean and presentable at all times by assisting in general cleaning tasks.
  • Maximise on commercial opportunities within your department by taking every opportunity to upsell.
  • Suggest ideas for department and hotel improvement/innovation.
  • Ensure all equipment is used in a safe and correct manner in line with company guidelines and risk assessments.
  • Deal with customer queries or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Implement action on Hygiene Audits in order to enhance the environment and achieve positive consistent results.
  • Ensure good working relationships with all colleagues in your department and hotel.
  • Be aware of and comply with all company and hotel rules/standards as laid out in the team member handbook.
  • Complete all online training within the required timeframe and attend training as and when required.
  • Present yourself well-groomed and in full uniform as per the company standard.
  • Understand and adhere to the company cash and key policy, health and safety policy and fire safety procedures at all times.
  • Understand and adhere to the company food safety policy and allergen procedure as laid out by the hotel and company.
  • Always understand and deliver excellent standards of service.
  • Operate IT systems in line with company standards where required.
  • Be fully aware of and observe correct and current liquor licensing laws.
