The role of Community Partnerships Manager will oversee the delivery of the Networks for Nature project, which spans approximately 60 square miles from the River Dee to the River Mersey, including Chester and Ellesmere Port. This collaborative partnership project works with various organisations to drive nature recovery in a mixed-use landscape, creating diverse habitats for species to thrive. We aim to empower communities to have an active role in conservation action and stewardship, making nature more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
The Community Partnerships Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the project delivery team and maintaining strong working relationships with project partners.
- Ensuring adherence to and delivery against the project activity and action plan.
- Tracking and monitoring the project budget (approximately £5 million) and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
- Providing regular reports to the Project Board and Steering Group.
- Managing relationships with funders, particularly the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
- Evaluating the impact of the project and advocating for it at various forums.
- Ensuring all project activities are safe and compliant with legislation and best practice guidance.

The Package:
- Fixed Term contract until 30 December 2028
- 40 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday with occasional evening or weekend work
- Salary of £40,430 per annum

- Substantial experience in planning, leading, and managing large-scale projects.
- Experience in partnership management and community engagement.
- Budget management experience, overseeing a project budget of approximately £5 million.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and IT skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience supervising others and working with volunteers.
