General responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional wine service during race days in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Engage guests with a confident, personable, and energetic approach
  • Provide expert wine recommendations based on guest preferences, menu pairings, and occasion
  • Drive revenue through upselling premium wines, champagnes, and curated pairings
  • Maintain awareness of table status and service timing
  • Collaborate with floor staff, kitchen, and management to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Uphold high standards of wine presentation, including correct serving techniques, glassware, and temperature control
  • Stay up to date with wine lists, vintages, and product knowledge
  • Support the wider team and contribute to a positive working environment during busy service periods

  • Previous experience in a sommelier or premium hospitality role
  • Strong wine knowledge and a genuine passion for hospitality
