We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Back of House Supervisor to join Chester Race Company for the 2026 season. If you enjoy working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and being part of exciting live events, we’d love you to work with us. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity supporting an outstanding programme of events — from race days at Chester Racecourse and Bangor‑on‑Dee Racecourse, to weddings, private celebrations, festivals, and nationally televised awards and shows. General Responsibilities:
- Supervising the kitchen porters in their day‑to‑day tasks and managing the kitchens in the Back of House Manager’s absence.
- Assisting in setting up and stocking kitchens on and off site.
- Washing dishes, cookware, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchens and back‑of‑house areas.
- Working as part of the wider catering team to support efficient service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in this type of role.
- Ability to lead and manage a team, including organising workloads.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Strong awareness of cleanliness, hygiene, and safe working practices.
- Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player.
Pay Rates (inclusive of holiday pay): £14.03 per hour (ages 18+) to increase to £14.60 from April 1st
