Join the Horseradish Team at Chester Race Company – Race Day EPOS Assistant. We’re looking for proactive, hands‑on professionals with an interest in EPOS systems and event operations to join the Team! You will help to support our systems and payment devices on race days for the Horseradish catering team. If you enjoy being on the move and getting stuck in, this practical role is all about setting up, moving and supporting equipment on site to help our events run smoothly from start to finish.

General responsibilities:
- Setting up, moving and checking tills, printers and payment devices
- Providing on‑the‑day EPOS hardware support during race days
- Checking, updating and maintaining EPOS equipment as needed
- Supporting pop‑up bar setups, including replacing faulty or damaged devices
- Completing data entry, stock counts, totalling count sheets, and preparing final figures for prep shifts and stocktake days
What We’re Looking For:
- Basic IT or hardware knowledge - training provided
- Confidence using computers for data entry and till setup - training provided
- Comfort working on your feet and moving around a busy site
- This role requires you to be over the age of 18
Pay Rates (inclusive of holiday pay): £15.25 per hour to increase to £15.70 from April 1st
Shifts & Availability: Raceday shifts would typically be 8am-8pm, and prep shifts typically 8:30am-5:30pm. Shifts are on an application basis, but you would be required to work as many Chester Racing fixtures as possible, as well as some prep shifts. Each race day comes with 1 to 3 prep shifts, plus additional shifts in March and April to get ready for the season.
