Are you passionate about providing a high level of guest experience whilst leading a team? Holiday Inn Express Chester - Racecourse are recruiting a Guest Services Manager for the night shift on a full time, permanent contract. Working an attractive 4 on 4 off shift pattern you will have plenty of down-time between shifts to do the things you love. We pride ourselves on our reputation, we wow our guests with our fantastic team driving positive feedback and repeat visits to our central Chester location.

General responsibilities:

  • Managing guest check in/out process, upselling of rewards enrollments
  • Ensuring the smooth running of breakfast service
  • Booking, altering and cancelling guest reservations
  • Dealing with first stage and further stages of customer complaints
  • Ensure that all public and back of house areas are presentable, well stocked and clean
  • Running a night audit, preparing all relevant reports
  • Ensuring all banking is complete and correct
  • Delegating jobs for the nights GSA
  • Provide a comprehensive handover for the day shift
  • Ensuring the safety of guests in the building

Skills / Attributes:

  • Previous experience of delivering excellent guest experience
  • Ability to use computers and booking systems
  • Previous experience within a similar role in a hotel environment (preferred)
  • Experience of bar work
