Join the Horseradish Team at Chester Race Company. We’re looking for passionate and skilled Chefs to join Chester Race Company for the 2026 race season and a wide range of events throughout the year. If you thrive in a fast‑paced kitchen and love being part of unforgettable events, we’d love you to work with us. This is a varied and exciting opportunity to cook across an incredible programme of events — from race days at Chester Racecourse and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, to weddings, private celebrations, festivals, and nationally televised awards and shows. You’ll be working at prestigious venues across the region, helping deliver exceptional food experiences as part of our expert catering teams.

General Responsibilities

  • Preparing and delivering high‑quality food for a wide range of on‑site and off‑site events
  • Supporting event delivery across Chester Racecourse and venues throughout Cheshire
  • Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP and Food Standards Agency guidelines
  • Consistently delivering a high standard of food, regardless of volume or service size
  • Working as part of the wider catering and event team to ensure smooth service delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen environment or large‑scale banqueting/catering
  • Previous event catering experience is desirable
  • Ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when producing high volumes
  • Strong awareness of food safety, hygiene, and best practice
  • Reliable, focused, and able to work well under pressure
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to complete training)

This role requires you to be over the age of 18.

Pay Rates (inclusive of holiday pay) £17.59 - £20.88 per hour. Pay rate is dependent on experience and type of shift.
