Instructional Assistants within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. Multiple openings working with pre‑k, elementary, middle, and/or high school-aged students, and supporting English Language Learners or academic support students. These positions are temporary for the duration of the summer ONLY.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
  • Experience working with the applicable age group preferred
  • Computer and current technology knowledge required
  • Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs
  • Assist with regular communication with participating students' parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators, as necessary
  • Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services, as needed
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program

Estimated work days and hours:

  • Program Dates: June - July (TBD)
  • Schedule: Mon - Thurs, 11:45am-4:15pm (students from 12-4pm)
  • No program on Fridays
  • Training: June (TBD)

Hourly Rate (2025-2026 School Year):

  • With a Bachelor's degree: $18.72
  • With a Master's degree: $22.41
