We are seeking Part‑time Instructional Assistants within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. Currently, multiple openings are available to work with elementary school‑age students, supporting English Language Learners and/or academically supporting students.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (required)
  • Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students (preferred)
  • Experience working with the applicable age group (preferred)
  • Computer and current technology knowledge (required)
  • Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and a federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs
  • Assist with regular communication with participating students' parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators, as necessary
  • Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services, as needed
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program

Schedule

Monday – Thursday: 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm
No program on Fridays

Hourly Rate (2026‑2027 School Year)

  • Equivalence of a Bachelor’s degree (9 years experience): $19.38
  • Equivalence of a Master’s degree (15 years experience): $23.19
