Job Summary: The People Operations Specialist aids with and facilitates the Human Resources (HR) processes at Chester Community Charter School (CCCS). This position is responsible for managing efforts, systems and processing to attract talent and for new hire onboarding and finalization for hourly and/or part-time positions. This is a local, on-site opportunity supporting recruitment efforts within the Chester, PA community and surrounding areas.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in the development and execution of the Chester Community Charter School’s (CCCS) recruiting plans
- Networks through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees
- Assists in the development and tracking of goals for the recruiting and hiring process
- Handles administrative duties and recordkeeping
- Assists in the collection of data on cost per hire and time-to-hire
- Screens applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
- Conducts regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
- Assists in the development of a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
- Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
- Responsible for new hire documentation and onboarding
- Collaborates with school leaders to create a welcoming team environment and family atmosphere for candidates
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Two years' experience in recruitment, preferably in the education space
- Experience sourcing, outreach, and pipeline building
- Background or previous experience in advertising and marketing preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- FBI Criminal Background Clearance
Demonstrated Knowledge of:
- Applicant Tracking Systems
- Effectively using data to identify opportunities and modify strategies when appropriate
- Using various databases, including but not limited to: Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and Recruitment Web Applications
Demonstrated ability to:
- Work collaboratively with peers and colleagues
- Think creatively and in an organized and methodical manner in order to execute strategic plans
- Draft requested reports as needed in order to supply management with requested information in order to make informed decisions
