Every day, people across Scotland are adjusting to life following a diagnosis of a chest or heart condition, after experiencing a stroke or dealing with Long Covid. At Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), Scotland's leading health charity, we're working to ensure there is No Life Half Lived, and you could play a vital role in making that happen.
We provide a range of services, notably through our Community Healthcare Support Service, which delivers supported self-management and recovery services across Scotland.
By joining CHSS as Pulmonary Rehab Lead, you’ll have a real opportunity to help people move beyond simply surviving, towards managing their health, regaining confidence and independence and connecting with their communities.
About the Role
CHSS are seeking a highly motivated Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with experience of working as part of Pulmonary Rehab Services to lead the ongoing development and implementation of a national model of Pulmonary Rehabilitation for Scotland in partnership with Scottish Government.
In partnership with the Scottish Government, we need you to help us transform the lives of people living with respiratory conditions across Scotland, overseeing the development of digital pulmonary resources for patients and healthcare professionals.
This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of Pulmonary Rehab (PR) Services across Scotland by driving consistent and system-wide improvements across PR pathways.
The role is for six months.
This opportunity will allow the post holder to provide strategic direction in shaping pulmonary rehabilitation in Scotland, working in partnership with both the Scottish Government, Health and Social Care, and the third sector to digitally transform access to pulmonary rehabilitation for the over half a million Scots living with respiratory conditions.
