You will be part of Scotland's leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart, stroke and long covid conditions to live life to the full again. As well as those who have witnessed or provided CPR for someone who has had an out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Our services form a nationwide network of local support groups, health care professionals, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with living with one of our conditions.
Position Overview The role of the Advice Line Practitioner is to provide confidential, independent information, advice and support to people affected by chest, heart, stroke, long covid illness and OHCA, their families, carers and health professionals.
Responsibilities Provide confidential, independent information, advice and support to individuals affected by chest, heart, stroke, long covid, and OHCA.
Support people's families, carers and health professionals with information and guidance.
Qualifications First level general nursing qualification or equivalent healthcare professional registration.
Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in a hospital or community setting working with people affected by at least one of the conditions.
Professional Development We are committed to supporting continuing professional development (CPD) through funding and training opportunities, and through our Professional Registration Network which offers a structured, supportive drop‐in environment to help maintain registrations through ongoing learning, reflective practice and peer support.
