What you\’ll bring to the team:Location: Chessington World of Adventures Resort Leatherhead Road Chessington Surrey KT9 2NEWe are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Landscape Team at Chessington World of Adventures. This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in maintaining and developing the park\’s beautiful grounds to the highest horticultural and arboricultural standards.Working alongside an experienced team, you will help to ensure all areas of the landscape are maintained to our resort landscape standards. The role will involve a variety of tasks, from routine maintenance to assisting with development projects, all carried out in line with Health & Safety guidelines and departmental procedures to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and guests alike.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in horticulture and arboriculture who enjoys practical outdoor work and takes pride in achieving high standards.
- An enthusiastic individual with the ability to work in a team and interact with guests
- Good knowledge of plants and a good understanding of horticultural techniques such as pruning, turfing, ground preparation and winter protection
- NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent with some experience working in a horticultural role using a full range of maintenance machinery, is desirable
- PA1/PA6 in safe use of pesticides and other NPTC/Lantra certificates would be advantageous, but not essential, as an excellent training programme is provided
- Be able to demonstrate a practical understanding of health & safety and be aware of the importance of safe systems of work
An hourly rate of £12.50
