The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.

We’re excited to offer a hands-on AV Apprenticeship where you’ll kickstart your career in Audio Visual and technical entertainment within a live theme park environment. Working as part of the Ride Effects team, you’ll support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a wide range of AV systems, including audio, lighting, video, show control, and special effects. From helping to keep attractions running smoothly to supporting live show experiences, no two days will be the same. This 24‑month programme combines structured learning with real on-the-job experience, giving you the opportunity to develop practical technical skills while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across AV systems
  • Supporting daily operational checks to ensure attractions run safely and reliably
  • Learning how to diagnose and resolve technical issues in real-time
  • Supporting installations, upgrades, and system improvements
  • Working collaboratively with technical teams to deliver high-quality guest experiences

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for learning and a strong interest in technology and hands-on work.

  • Have at least 5 GCSE’s at C/4+ including Maths, or equivalent (These can include predicted grades).
  • Comfortable using computers and digital systems
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety
  • Practical mindset with an interest in technical or hands-on work
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills through training and study
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable, motivated, and proactive approach
  • Desirable but not essential:
  • Basic knowledge or interest in AV systems, live events, theatre, or technical environments
  • Experience using tools or working in a practical setting

This is a full-time course which will run for around 2 years.
