Reports to: Food Services Manager; Supervisors

Specific Accountabilities

  • Consistently acting in line with Our Values and behaviours
  • Taking responsibility for your own H&S and site fire safety at all times
  • Delivering company cleaning & hygiene standards consistently

Key Tasks

  • Processing dirty dishes, cutlery and equipment as per daily requirements
  • Hand washing as required
  • Ensuring maintenance of the dishwasher, correct use and cleaning in line with guidelines and Food Safety standards
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained for required chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen areas including floors & surfaces
  • Disposal of rubbish including emptying bins, correct disposal of boxes
  • Deep cleaning of fridges, freezers, storage areas and any other areas as instructed by chef or manager
  • Assisting with deliveries including accepting goods in, storage in line with Food Safety Policy
  • Control and record wastage
  • Undertaking routine & adhoc cleaning tasks to maintain the hygiene levels in the kitchen
  • Assist with table clearing and restocking crockery & cutlery when required

Responsible for

  • Assisting in the smooth running of the department as instructed with diligence, discipline and trust
  • Delivering results as instructed
  • Identifying and reporting all issues relating to stock or the team quickly and efficiently
  • Dealing with all colleagues & customers in a knowledgeable, respectful and attentive fashion
  • Identifying opportunities to improve sales with good value, high quality, consistent and unique products
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance issues in your department
  • Identify and reporting H,S&E issues
  • Contributing to the daily smooth running of the restaurant
  • Looking after Company Property including, but not limited to, machinery, equipment, retail stock and non-retail items for colleague use
  • Empowering and developing yourself to your full potential with initiative and training
  • Keeping the Manager and Supervisor informed of all relevant issues
  • Maintain a high level of personal hygiene in line with Food Safety regulations
  • Supporting other areas of the business when required
