About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the leadership and operational management of approximately 9 supported living services across Southampton and Waterlooville. This is a dynamic, multi-site role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding care and supporting teams to succeed. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring services are safe, effective, well-led, caring, and responsive in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day management of multiple supported living services
- Lead, supervise and develop staff teams to deliver high-quality care
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and standards
- Monitor and improve service quality through audits and spot checks
- Assist with rota management, staffing, recruitment, and training
- Support safeguarding, incident management, and risk assessments
- Promote a culture of person-centred care and positive behaviour support
- Work flexibly across services to provide operational support where required
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior role within health & social care
- NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete)
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
- Strong knowledge of supported living services and CQC requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations
Desirable
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
- Experience in multi-site or deputy/management roles
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
