Joining the Production Control & Planning (PCP) Team and reporting to the PCP Manager, the role of Production Controller will be responsible for the coordination and control of production jobs within Chess. The controller will utilise the ERP system to ensure adherence of Job Management processes, ensuring all material and demand requirements tally with customer delivery expectation. The controller will be assigned to an IPT and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from order entry through to Production completion.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough Job Management processes on the ERP system.
  • Organise kitting for assemblies ensuring kits are in a suitable state for manufacture.
  • Conduct thorough material availability analysis, in conjunction with Supply Chain.
  • Fulfil Sales Orders and organise post‑production activity alongside ITC and Stores.
  • Liaise with Production/Manufacturing Engineering on manufacturing procedures and problems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programmes to ensure efficiency of team procedures.

Qualifications

  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • A background in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • UK Security Clearance is mandatory; must provide proof of identity, employment history, right to work in the UK and at least five years of UK residency.
